A (relatively) short bus journey and our bags checked in, we spent the evening at our new hostel, which I was to later call the mental asylum. I…

San Martin was a nice little town, very neat and not many dogs compared to the rest of the towns. We scored a room with cable TV and were absolutely dying to watch the OC, but couldn't find it on anywhere. Ended up getting 2hrs of a new series of 24. Can't believe they are having another serie…

20
hours on coaches gets us into the lake district from sunny San Juan.
It's only 6 degrees in San Martin when we arrive, with an icy wind
blowing snow of the tops of the mountains.

there's lots of walking to be don…

Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay..... it is difficult to decide!! Every single country is beauty, but some are easier to travel around if infraestructure, communications, facilities and staff are up to expectations.
Sometimes travelling has some difficulties.... but for those easygoing and independent oriented tourists any inconvenient has an adventure and challenging side!!
South America is the right place to go!! Awesome nature, historical cities, warm people and safer than ever.

Started my trip in my hometown Cordoba. Took a 10 hr bus to Mendoza, well known for its great variety of wine, specially Malbec; from there a 12 hr bus to Bariloche. Then flew to the Glaciers National Park in Calafate. Couldnt get an airline ticket to The Southern most city in the world, Ushuaia, so I took another bus for 18 hrs to get there. NOT RECOMENDED! From there, back to Calafate, back to Buenos Aires for a day to visit some friends and back to Cordoba.
