The class finished about noon, so I had a few hours to kill before my flight home. I went to the San Marcos conventions and vistors bureau (since I knew where it was from a few nights ago...) and got some suggestions as to where to visit. I decided to go to the San Marcos airport where the Commemorative Air Force (old WWII war planes!) museum is located for my husband Kevin (because all pilots seem to like airplanes!) and since I don't know much about them, I just took some photos of old air...

My best friend Darla and I had been talking about doing a jump for years. Being young and bulletproof at the time, we tried all sorts of things: scuba, bungy, whitewater, line dancing... er I mean mountain biking! Anyway, we had wanted to go to this place down in Corpus Christi, Texas where they jumped near the beach. We thought that would be pretty cool! The final leg takes me down through the heart of Texas and into the hill country.  It was a great trip, i miss my travel partners, but it is good to be home again.  Maybe i will work a couple days this month.

San Marcos is the perfect set up!  It is right smack in between fun and more fun.  The city itself is very laid back and lots of fun.  They have  a "square" as the locals call it, and it is comprised of all kinds of bars and restaurants and mini shops.  The only downside to the "square" is that all the bars and such close at midnight.  But, that is easily remedied because you can just hop in your car when those bars close and head to Austin, as long as your not d...
