The capital city of the state with the same name. This is a medium sized city with about 1.5 million people in 2006. The city center (el centro) is filled with old European style colonial architecture with an Aztec influence. This is a place to fall in love with food, culture, women, music, and life. There are many things to see and do around this city and the surrounding state, from desert to rain forest, and from shopping malls to villages with little to no running water and only scant technology. There is so much you can learn from these beautiful people. Enjoy

I have been living in SLP for the past 6 months and have been able to see most of the city. It is filled with incredible churches all with hand carved architecture, beautiful parks and mountains that surround the city.
