San Jose Jazz Festival
San Jose Jazz Festival Reviews
Fun music, great atmosphere for friends, family, solo Aug 10, 2008
I was actually trying to go to the Winchester Mansion, but got side-tracked when I ran into the Jazz Festival. They actually have it set up at stages all throughout the downtown streets. The cost is $10 for all day or $25 for all 3 days. There were 10 stages of different types of jazz performers. I'm only here for 24 hrs, so $10 for a day worked for me. You get a wristband and are able to come in and out to each of the stage areas. There are beverage concessions that sell everything: beer, wine, daquiris, sodas. Also food like mango on a stick, BBQ, taco salads, indian dishes, etc. I drank a beer for $5 (5 tickets) and decided not to eat, but to enjoy the live music.
The music was great. There's some dancing at some of the stages which was so much fun to watch. Many people brought blankets or chairs to sit and enjoy. There was 2 stages indoors; that was nice when I was getting too toasty. There were also some vendors that were selling jewelry, clothing, and artwork. All in all, great fun and affordable. =) |

The last time I went to the circus, I was 8 years old, and it was the Ringling Brothers in some giant arena where my family could only afford nosebleed seets behind a giant pillar. We could barely see the middle ring of the chaotic, boomin…… Cirque du Soleil |
