Bogota to San Gil

Went caving this morning with the 2 Brits and Aussie. Great fun, although scary. We had to get a harness on and got down a zip line into the cave. Heaps of bats, which I seriously think are pretty cute. We came to a part where we had to climb down a ladder and then get on a small platform and then jump 6m down into deep water. That part really freaked me out. Really enjoyed it, but alas no photos for today as we couldn“t take our camera in there for obvious reasons. We are just kicking ...

Spent a few days in this mountain town. Enjoyed a lovely walk in the park that had massive trees with silvery stuff hanging from the branches (forgot the camera). They have good chicken and chips in San Gil. Had a huge portion of roast chicken with chips and salad plus 2 beers and all for 1 pound fifty!!!

Leaving Bogota on way to Venezuela

I left Bogota, catching for the first time one of the local (non Transmilenio) buses to the Terminal de Transportes which actually turned out to be pretty easy although I was feeling uncertain for most of the trip whether I was in fact on the correct bus. At the terminal I then had a choice of 3 bus companies to choose from to take me to San Gil.
