Day 12: A whole day driving. We left our hotel pretty early but stuck in the city since we didn´t find a place that wasn´t too crowded to get a breakfast. So, it took us almost until noon to leave the city. We headed northwest as we wanted to drive through the Death Valley, before we turned south…

This is one zoo you must visit. They have the pandas that are being researched there. They are adorable. If your a snake person there are over 50 differnt snakes on display. Many monkeys of course and zebras and more. They do have the largest number of koalas living in the US. The polar bears are very active and fun to watch. If you have children buy the tickets with the bus ride included. The zoo is huge and you will need to take the bus all over the park.

This is our last day at home before setting out on our 3.5 month adventure. In typical fashion, I am not packed and the house is a mess. Also, Beau's car was stolen from in front of our house last night (between 3 am, when he went to bed and looked out the window at it, and 7 am, when h…

We spent a day in San Diego. We started with breakfast and a long walk at Mission Beach, visited then the Harbor and after that downtown San Diego. Outcome...a really cool, clean and nice city, worth to stay and explore a few days/weeks/months if you have time.
