Traditional Korean Cuisine: San Deul Hae 산들해 Oct 27, 2013
This restaurant is a great place to enjoy traditional Korean cuisine. They have a remarkable way of presenting Korean food in a manner that gave customer an authentic cottage-like experience and yet commercialized. Korean houses have wooden plank in the front porches to welcome guests or to have communal meals on hot summer days. Incidentally, the seats in this restaurant reminded me of that wooden plank commonly found in houses located in the suburbs or smaller cities.
We were very privileged to be invited for lunch by our Korean friends. According to our friends, the dishes here reminded them of what they used to eat while growing up. Ingredients used were very fresh, dishes were well selected and side-dishes refillable. Enjoyed the fried yellowfin corvina, a prized ingredient in Korean cuisine and not forgetting the appetizing blue crab marinated in a vinaigrette soy sauce side-dish.
It had been both a pleasurable and a fulfilling dining experience. Do come with family or friends for maximum satisfaction. Food always taste better when shared. The amount of food was adequate to feed a family of four. A meal for four cost around KRW60,000.
