We did a day trip from San Cristobal to this canyon which I thought was really awesome. I whole heartedly recommend this to anyone visiting Chiapas. Beautiful canyon, 35km boat ride, crocodiles, canyon is up to 1000m deep at some point, lots of birds everywhere, really enjoyed it.

BUS JOURNEYWell I was dreading this after our last one but it turned out not so bad. Basically slept the whole way, waking up 3 times. The first time I woke up was when the bus driver carried out an emergency stop to avoid a massive fallen boulder bloacking the road. The second time was another emergency stop, this one to avoid a crashed car which was totally written off!
