The next day, it was a lot easier to find a place to stay the night. On our way to Palm Springs/Indio, we found a campsite near San Bernardino. I was totally amazed about what I saw here. Extremely big RV's and campers. Wow, it's amazing that these things can even drive! We had a sound night here and we're ready to rock on to Coachella!

Nuthin.  I got nuthin.  I thought if I sat down and started typing I would eventually write something worth reading but I can't think of anything to put down.  I've failed you.

I visit the LA area every year to see friends....this time they had moved out to the Inland Empire to San Bernardino. A few pics of the day I took a roadtrip into the San Bernardino mountains on the way up to Big Bear Lake and the day I took a nice solo drive up into the Hollywood Hills and along Mulholland Drive to see the mansions!

Driving down the Mohavi desert with our windows up! I don't remember if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I only know that we didn't turn on the A/C. So it was more then likely alright.

On boarding the Southwest Chief it dawned on me what i had let myself in for. This train was to be my home for the next 2 days. I couldn't quite take in how long and how big this train was. It was twin deck on most cars and i just wondered "How does this thing actually move"?
