San Antonio Reviews

I lived in SA for about 3 years, still go there often.  There is a lot to do downtown, though it is a HUGE tourist attraction.  This is where you'll find the Alamo; Tower of Americas; the old mission; riverwalk, etc.  Be careful at the riverwalk at nite.  Not that its a horrible place, but as with any unfamiliar territory you should be watchful, especially at nite.  There are many excellent places to eat on the riverwalk, as well as the streets surrounding.  Mi Tierra is a awesome Mexican restaraunt  & bakery on Produce Row in the Market Square, definatly a must.

I used to live in Austin and made the jaunt south many times. I never had the privilege of dining at Mi Tierra, but I used to eat at La Jacala as often as possible.
