Samsara Resort Negril

My first trip to Jamaica will definately not be my last Thanks to the beautiful staff at Samsara, especially Melvin & Aleeki, we love ya'll! The grounds had the most amazing variety of plants & flowers! We were amazed at the total Lack of bugs & no mosquitos! Cliff Jumping from any spot as hi or a low as u like. Unbelievable snorkling! 2-c was a very comfy cottage w/ a nice porch & hammock & a HUGE tiled shower. We practically had the place to ourselves the first week. Wonderful Jamaican home cooking by Rose. Great Drinks. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Be careful on the street walking, its like Nascar sometimes 4 wide on a 2 lane road & very fast. Excellent alternatives for variety of foods in walking distance. Most relaxing vacation ever! If you walk down to the lighthouse b sure & stop by Sexy Rexy's at sunset cliff. Wonderful friendly fun family. see ya next year!

Overall the place is cool. I stayed on the Gardenside and the only drawback was the bugs. The staff is great, they all go outta thier way to help (in a slow way). The bar and the food they serve is good, i do not suggest all-inclusive. You can walk around to other places, but you have to be firm with the folks who will try to peddle thier goods, otherwise they'll hound you. Watch out for traffic to, it seems pretty crazy at first.Three Dives is a restaurant down the street and they serve world class cuisine out of a shack, I do reccomend. Just Natural is also a good location within walking distance, cheap beers. So if your looking for the resort /never leave the compound type vacation this is not your place, although if you want some true jamaican action this is the spot.
