Samesun Backpackers Vancouver Reviews
Enormous Hostel Oct 19, 2013
This hostel cost us a lot. I think it was about $38 per night each in a tiny six-bed dorm.
It's located on Granville Street which is very central. It's the entertainment street with lots of cafes, restaurants, theatres and bars. It's quite loud at night and all of the hostel rooms face out towards the street. It's within walking distance of everything really - Gastown, Granville Island and Stanley Park is about a 40 minute walk.
The lobby of the hostel is really cool with a huge moose teddy on one of the seats, it's big enough to sit under.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. Free towels and internet access, although access is really temperamental in the bedrooms. Free breakfast of bagels, toast, tea and coffee and juices. I thought they should have some cereals too because bread isn't a huge choice. No fruit either!
The bathrooms were fine. Clean and tidy.
The hallways in the hostel smell a bit funny!
The rooms are really small with very little space to move. Lockers provided.
The kitchen seemed good even though we didn;t use it
