Get tha'sen a Hockney! Feb 11, 2012
Salt's Mill has to be one the best free art exhibitions I've been to. With the world's largest David Hockney exhibition, it is a worthwhile, free, day out. They have a small cafe and a larger restaurant, but during busy periods they only open certain exhibitions at certain times - so check before you go! An extensive book shop on one floor gives the variety you sometimes look for. Not sure about the parking available, but it's only a 10-15 minute walk from Shipley train station.

Beautiful unesco world heritage site in yorkshire Apr 14, 2011
Beautiful model villageits a sort of proto model town build in 1825-1850 by a Victorian philanthropist Sir Titus Salt.. built next due a huge wool mill, that has been derelict for years. It has been impresively done up displaying art from local Bradfordian David Hockney. Lots of lovely art books, beautiful victorian park with cafe. Also lots of vintage stores, rose and brown is a beautiful vintage clothing store on the modest high street. Insiders tip: pop in for a ginger beer or espresso at dont tell titus, the bar/restaurant.
