Post Furlough trip. Who knows where I will go next!

Martina and I kidknapped Irmgart's garden gnome, Karl, and road-tripped from Portland to Sky City, New Mexico. Started out on I-84 toward Idaho. Camped in Burley - Paul (sounds like a bad dragqueen name). Drove through Utah to camp in Moab. Visited Arches National Park, and Mesa Verde before pulling in to Sky City Casino Hotel. Visited the Pueblos, Sandia Peak, Santa Fe via the Turqouise Trail. Then back toward home via Flagstaff, Las Vegas, Death Valley, the San Joaquin, & the Siskiyous.

DL (Delta) 49 - CVG-SLC, 757-200, Seat 36D.  Depart Cincinnati 1650, Arrive Salt Lake City 1828 DL (Delta) 1187 - SLC-FAI, 737-800, Seat 26A.  Depart Salt Lake City 2105, Arrive Fairbanks 2358 Flights were relatively uneventful on my journey to Fairbanks which is a very good thing …

So we get to the hotel and decide to go to dinner at P.F. Chang's because last time I was there it was full of smoking hot waitresses.But not this time, bummer.

Ok so we flew to Slat Lake city from Nashville Tennessee and stayed one night in a hotel before the next day we went knocking for a place for some of the group to stay before finally travelling to the cities and towns we would be staying in for the next couple of months. It was pretty nerve racking.

Set up an exhibit upstairs in the Grand Ballroom B for the Utah Society of Association Executives Annual Meeting and Expo. The staff of the Salt Lake City Hilton were friendly and helpful. Travelling to 96 countries on 7 continents, it is about time I put all this travel knowledge to good use and share it with the world.

It started innocently enough; I visited Juneau, Alaska in June 1993 and explored the State Capitol building. A few months later, It was Montgomery, Alabama's. In the course of time, it became a hobby. Near the end it became a bit of an obsession. Then, in August of 2006, I visited my 50th US State Capitol building in Pierre, SD. (Yeh!) Yes, I know, I'm a geography nerd.... All entries are maintained in on the 'first visit' date.
