Salsalito Cantina Mexican Restaurant

While we were in San Antonio for a couple of days the wonderful folks we met there through TravBuddy took us for dinner to this restaurant. First let me cover the décor and atmosphere. Outside, a nice western Mexican style building with a full parking lot, a good sign that the food inside must be good. Inside, brick columns, nice arches, warm color paints, and the hustle bustle of a busy slightly upscale restaurant fairly new and very clean. We were seated quickly our server took our orders and made sure each and every thing was correct, returning throughout the meal to make sure we were pleased. The food was excellent and the portions were good sized without being over-done. We even had Flan for desert, and again it was very good. The prices were just slightly higher than my usual Mexican restaurant at home but still fair. If I lived in San Antonio I would be fairly regular customer here.
There are two locations, and I am sure you would find them both excellent.
