Salos Hotel Trakai

The room has been everything we needed. There is a big window with views to the water and it is located 5 minutes away from the very heart of Trakai, right where the castle is. Service is been excellent too, everyone very friendly and helpful. Actually they made a couple of calls for us to cancel a booking and to arrange our pickup with the car rental company. Right in the basement they have a nice restaurant facing the water with a nice terrace. In the dinner they have a projector with a screen. I wonder for what are they using it…

Actually it looks like a family business, and they treat you alike. There is even a club, but we haven´t seen it open. Last night they closed the restaurant and pub around 9.30pm and we are in August, so I am not sure what is the deal. From the pub you go down some metal staircase and you find the dance floor. Most probably it is the only club around.

Heheh I just asked and they have just told me that the club is only open in the wintertime as in the summer the hotel is always full and they don´t want to disturb them with the noise.

The bathroom is ok, although it needed some more light. Anyhow, it was very clean and spacious. Beds in general are quite small, I wonder what is the reason for that. The last hotel we stayed in, Dommus Maria in Vilnius, it also had a very narrow bed.

We paid 46 euros for 2 people, so it is a very good price considering its locations and facilities.
