Salinas is a city located in Guayas, Ecuador, by the Pacific Ocean. It is the seat of Salinas Canton, the westernmost canton in Ecuador.

At the 2001 census there were 49,752 people living within canton limits. The city is an important tourist center.

Salinas was my fave spot in Ecuador! We took a 2hr bus ride from Guayaquil to Salinas, and I saw some great beauty along the way. I spent 2 days at the Barcelo Colon Miramar which is located right on the beach. I went in low season , but this place is usually packed and full of great parties! I enjoyed the water sports, the pacific ocean and waves, drinking and dancing Salsa every night at the disco. This place will be the next hot spot! They are building lot's of condo's and hotels...

Sometimes we have to return to the city, but we have many desires of remaining in the beach. Maybe is because there, while we are smiling, we want to tucking up ourselves with the sheets waves of the sea. Sleeping a wet dream, replete with life, without thinking to much.
