We have noticed alot of cowboy hats, it is the fashion statement here in Salento, Colombia. You also gain higher status if you wear a poncho also and have your machete in a leather shelth with lots of tassles hanging from your belt. Seriously though, it looks really cool. We have noticed that in more rural areas most men carry a machete on their belt, not as frightening as it may seem though but makes things interesting.We got up nice and early today to get a jeep to Cocora to do some walking...
