Saladan, Koh Lanta, Thailand
Saladan Market Koh Lanta Reviews
Food at Saladan market Feb 15, 2010
There are many restaurants throughout Koh Lanta (nothing like other places in Thailand), but enough. However, a good choice is to eat near the market in Saladan town.
Most places offer a variety of rice, noodle, or stir-fry dishes that are cheap and delicious. In addition, if you want something that is not available on the menu, most places will gather the ingredients from their friends and cook it up for you with no additional charge. Most dishes are 40-50 baht.
Another place, which you may have tried already, is the noodle soup carts. There are many of these around Saladan town which offer both beef and chicken noodle soup. The soup comes with chicken/beef balls; noodles, and either chicken legs or sliced beef. The owners are all very friendly, as I have sampled a few places, and speak a little English (if you know no Thai). The cost of a bowl is about 40 baht.
