Salad King (Thai Food) Travel Reviews

Jul 03, 2007
Firstly, I have to note that Salad King is not a place that just sells salads. They actually only sell 2-3 salads. Instead, it is by far one of the best places to go for Thai food in Toronto. It is located in downtown Toronto 1 block North of the Eaton Centre shopping centre and Dundas Sq. on Yonge and Gould Street by Ryerson University. It is easily accessible by public transit, the nearest subway is Dundas station. The service is speedy, the food is amazing, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Sometimes it can get quite loud since the majority of their seating is in a wide open space with large tables that are kind of set up in a cafeteria-style. However, it is a full-service restaurant, with a very laid-back environment that is becoming very popular in Toronto. Larger parties have the option (usually only if reservations are made) to use a more quiet, intimiate setting upstairs that can seat various parties from 5-30 people. Also, around 12-1pm and 5-6pm expect to wait up to about 20 minutes before being seated.
You must visit here if you're in town!

ENJOY!

imranlarizza says: There is no cooking like home cooking. Especially when it is done by your own personal chef who has been cooking for you since you were born. Are mash potatoes supposed to be brown? I don't know, but I would not have them any other way!
princessleah123 says: Winterlicious is a yearly event where Toronto's top fine dining restaurants fix their prices for their full dinner/lunch services which includes (appetizers, main course, dessert), so instead of paying 200-250 for dinner/lunch, you would be expected to dish out an average amount of 35 to 40 (drinks ...
