Sal Gorda Malaga Reviews
Great fish & seafood restaurant Mar 06, 2011
The last evening in Malaga for this time we ended up at a fish restaurant named Sal Gorda which was situated quite close to the hotel. We had all quite early decided on fish and someone remembered to have seen one down the road. From outside the place looked like an old fashion tavern. It turned out that the ground floor primarily was a bar and we were therefore shown upstairs to the first floor.
On first floor we were suddenly back in a restaurant environment. We found a corner table which was easy as there were only two other groups there. We looked at the menu and quite fast decided on the Mariscada Degustacio that turned out to be a fabulous seafood mix of grabs, lobsters, shrimps, mussels, sea snails and so on. For wine we went along with the waiters recommendation of a reasonable white wine; the Botella Albarino. I think we ended up with having 3 bottles in the end.
The seafood was great and we had work for almost a couple of hours of eating, and it was a pure joy to share such a meal amongst friends on the last evening. We ended up having 3 bottles of the wine, and left the place in a pretty good mood.
