Another interesting place to check out is Blackbeard’s Castle Tower where you will find remnants from the pirate era including cannons and statues. Pirates used St. Thomas as a base from which to raid merchant ships from every nation. This colorful heritage is reflected in the shops and other attractions on the island.

The island is a great place for people who like to take it easy and relax on the white sand beaches. However, it is also a perfect place for the adventurous type. St. Thomas is perfect for snorkeling, SCUBA diving, kayaking, and hiking. Many soon to be newlyweds choose the beautiful tropical beaches for destination weddings.
