St-Raymond is a service town located in Portneuf County, North-West of Quebec city. It is also built along the main road leading to the Faunic Reserve of Portneuf in the deep Laurentian Hills Shield. The village downtown is built in a Boom Town style typical from the mid-19th Century and has a particular charm.
The municipality large hinterland includes all sort of landscapes, going from grazeland to the typical lumberjack backcountry with the Ice Age erosion traces of the 'Bras-du-Nord Vallee'. The town, as well as the whole Portneuf County area bear the trace of an unspoiled natural area, offering great possibilities for outdoors recreation, but not yet visited by mass-tourism.
