This was a spur of the moment trip to the beach. Some friends of mine had made it down to the beach and tempted me to go down there and pay them a visit. Hmmm let me think about this... Sit here at work or spend Cinco De Mayo Weekend in a house near the beach with 3 girls?

On our final day, we started out by having breakfast at a charming and delicious creperie in Ybor City called La Creparia Cafe. Then we headed to St Pete Beach and a final day soaking up the sun at Fort DeSoto Park. These are some pristine beaches with very fine powdery snow-white sand where you can wade across from the main beach to sand shoals (at the right time of day). It was extremely windy while we were there though. On the way back to the air...

Being down or bored is NOT an option....especially for my Birthday! So....my friends and I drove 30 minutes away to St Pete Beach in sunny Florida. Lots of Sun, Sand, The Gulf of Mexico, Restuarants and Tiki/Beach Bars.
