Saint Paul Hotel Rome Reviews
Rome Accommodation Apr 12, 2011
Even though rated as a four star hotel, the reality on site is a bit different: from the lobby till the rooms nothing even relates to such a labelling. Pictures on their web site can be pretty confusing as well.
Food: average - relatively rich breakfast, however the menu did not change through the entire period of 6 days when I stayed there
Location: not downtown but accessible by metro (around 10 mins walk till metro station) as well as by bus (2 mins walk)
Rooms: small but I am not the type of person looking for extravagant accommodation during holidays. They get cleaned every day though, and the towels are replaced with the same frequency.
My advice: if there aren't any kind of promotions in terms of rate, go for something else

Hotel Saint Paul in Rome May 13, 2008
The Hotel Saint Paul was situated approx 5 km from the city centre. If you would be using the metro line B it is 4 stops further out than Colosseo. The hotel is situated in a very calm residential area close to one of the universities. The hotel is not well know and I think it is living its quiet life pretty good anyway. The hotel has some years on its back but things are working and it is a clean hotel.
When we arrived the receptionist was very efficient. During our check-in we got all information about the neighbourhood, the way to the metro, which trips that could be arranged from the hotel and so on.
The room we had was a good size for two persons, we had a king size bed that actually was a king size bed and not two normal size beds put together. The bedroom was ok and had everything but a tub. I didn’t mind that in the summer but it could be something that you would have appreciated in the winter I suppose.
The breakfast was ok; there were almost all the things you could ask for at a standard hotel. The waitress would also provide you with fresh cappuccino if that was required.
Close to the hotel you will find the Basilica San Paulo that is worth a visit.
My verdict for the hotel will be that all in all it a very pleasant hotel.
