Saint Mang Church Apr 04, 2017
Sankt Mang is an Evangelical-Lutheran church that was built in a Gothic style dating back to the early 15th century over an existing Roman style church. The lower part of the church spire that extends up to the clock is from the original period, the rest was rebuilt in 1767 in a Rocco style and again a century later in a Neo-Gothic style. The church was named after Saint Magnus of F├╝ssen a local hermit priest who lived around the 8th century. The high altar was made in 1893 and awarded a gold medal at the World Exposition in Chicago, it has been a feature of the church since 1906.
