Visited St. Maarten for the first time and must say I enjoyed the sun, the beaches, the fresh fish and the lovely people. It was a short trip but I discovered the island by jeep, enjoyed the beaches at Oriental Bay, did a trip with a catamaran to the famous St. Barth, visited this Island by local t…

My mom and I went on an amazing cruise to the Caribbean for 7 days. St. Maarten was by far my favorite island, it was clean and the people were so friendly. The shopping was AMAZING on the French side of the island. Antigua had the most beautiful beaches and St. Lucia has banana ketchup which is actually really good on French fries!

Saint Maarten is dividend into French and Dutch sides of the island. Cruise ships arrive on the Dutch side of the island, where the shopping generally is located. The better beaches are on the French side of the island -- about a 20 minute taxi or bus ride to the opposite side of the is…

St. Maarten had similar beaches as St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. The water was nicer blue in St. Maarten. We rented a jet-ski for about $50/ half hour which was a lot of fun. You could rent chairs, or towels, etc. like on any beach. The cool thing was when you ordered beer or food from one of t…

It was really nice to see land today. I got off the ship and went to do some quick shopping before the excursion started. I got a few t-shirts and spent most of the rest of my Euro’s. It was really hot in St. Maarten and I was very thankful that I had changed my excursion to a r…

Had a chance to visit my cousin in Anguilla this October and we took a 20 minute ferry ride over to St. Maarten. Beautiful island but of course the most fascinating site is sitting at the Sunset Beach Bar at the end of the Princess Juliana International airport watching the planes take off and land.

St.Maarten is a beautifull Island in the Carribean. It is divided in a French site and a Dutch site.
Both sites have their own beautifull things and specialties.
Both sites have a good Kitchen.
We have enjoy our trip and look forward in returning again.
