Saint Louis Science Center Reviews
for children Jun 29, 2009
SLSC is free admission to the museum. They hit you up $8 for parking tho. i dont really have much to say about the saint louis science center.
there's quite a few hands on type exhibits. IMHO, everything is geared for younger children. ages 11+ will probably get bored pretty quickly.
they have a earthquake machine downstairs that's pretty cool tho. the guy on the monitor talks about what they are and how they work. a plate on the floor starts to move giving the allusion you're in a (very) minor earthquake. its moves for a few seconds and not very hard. the sounds effects add to the experience.
the tornado machine is okay too. its really just swirlling smoke hsowing the dynamics of a tornado.
the science center has a few highlights. unless you have smaller children its nothing worth going out of your way to see.
