Saint Gregory Luxury Hotel & Suites Washington D.C. Reviews
Convenient DC hotel Apr 22, 2010
I have been in this hotel to attend conference for 4 nights and 5 days. At first, a statue of Marilyn Monroe would greet you in the lobby, but you will find out that the "actual" lobby is quite small. The service at the lobby is Ok,and not sure about parking issue as the front of the hotel is quite narrow.
Amenities are good and room is clean, but there is no toothpaste so you may want to bring it if you go here. Towels are quite enough and good quality, view is not the best feature of this hotel. For access to downtown and restaurants,it is quite close and safe area, so there would be no problem for first time visitors. Four blocks away (16th St), there is the White house, so if you want to walk to there,it is OK and doable.
Room service is recommendable but the number of menus are not many, and rather pricy.
Bathromm is spacious, but faucet is quite small.Shower is pretty good. Just next to Hotel entrance, there is a healthy food shoppe, and Bar and Grill is also serving cocktails and food. Access to bus station and metro is not bad, but cannot say the best since I have been other hotels in Washington.
The heat control is somewhat problematic occasionally, but mostly good. I think it rather depends on which room one stays in.
Overall, if you want to visit Washington and you are the first time there, it is a OK place, but perhaps you can find a better one if there is more time. Certainly a not bad deal because of safety and location.
