Sag Harbor is an affluent, residential village located on the south fork of Long Island, New York, in Suffolk County.

Sag Harbor was once a jumpoff point for whaling ships, and the town itself was one of the largest American whaling centers in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The downtown area and marina have many shops and cafes, catering more to tourist traffic during the summer than the winter. The entire area is collectively an historic district, largely representing the maritime and whaling communities that shaped the town through the centuries.

Sag Harbor is accessible by car and boat, as well as a 20 minute trip from the East Hampton LIRR train station.
