We had one thing planned, an that was the Sacher Torte. Of course in Hotel Sacher. It was the only day it rained a bit, so we decided to take the subway (again, yes) instead of walking to the Opera, and from there moving on to the Sacher Hotel. …Nacshmarket to see the food/bustle, Mariahilfer Strasse to do some real shopping, UNO City to visit my 3rd UN HQ in the last 2 years =), Hotel Sacher to get my hands on a chocolate torte and finally the Prater and Ferris Wheel with Chris. WOW. I threw up my hands and blew this popsicle stand. I had 6 hours and was so exhausted by the thought of all there was I almost… How can I enjoy my last day in Vienna?!

One thing that was a little overrated was the 'Sacher Torte', supposedly the greatest chocolate cake very made. I saw it on a Rick Steves video so I had to try it. We went to the place it was invented, the Hotel Sacher. It was basically just a dried out chocolate cake to me, but I'm sure… 3 days in Vienna

We broke for the day there and went off into the cities, Leslie and I went with the professors back into town to go to the Hotel Sacher for coffee and torte, but when we got there the line was so long, we went across the street to the café at the Westin and had dinner. After that, it was back to H&M and then home. I finally broke down… Rock Me Amadeus

Back outside again it was time we had something to drink and we took some pastry with that as well before passing the Sacher hotel on our way to the Opera museum. It was very hot and humid in this museum so we didn’t stay too long but it still gave us an idea on the history of the Opera.
