Sacher Eck Vienna Reviews
Sacher Torte at the Hotel Sacher Jun 13, 2009
The world-famous sacher torte is a real must when you are in Vienna. It is an iced chocolate torte with apricot jam filling, and it is surprisingly light. Where better to taste it than the hotel that invited it?
Sacher 'Eck is the more casual cafe attached to the Hotel Sacher itself. It is surprisingly contemporary - I was expecting heavy drapes and found light, flowers, and Mark Ronson tunes playing.
There is a sunny terrace, but by this point I was protecting my sunburn and stayed indoors. The service is fine. The cafe is rather expensive - 17 Euros for two bits of cake and two coffees, but it was well worth it to say I'd been.
