We were sooooooooooooooooooo pleased to hear that Xela has a restaurant to provide us with the national dish of the UK, curry!
The restaurant is Indian-owned so the food is genuine...the smell hits you as you turn the corner to enter the restaurant - after 7 months on the road, this is the smell that we´d been hoping for!! Meat eaters and veggies can eat until uncomfortably full up and then the staff (who are really friendly) will wrap up your left overs for you to take home for breakfast!! We can wholeheartedly recommend the chicken tikka marsala or the veggie curry, both available for a ridiculously cheap 15 quetzals/ 1 pound/ 2dollars!!! They even serve beer!! |
