Healthcare used to be granted to everyone, then co-pays began.  During a visit one summer, something one everyone’s mind was one last appointment with the optometrist before the end of the year, because next year the 10 Euro co-pays would begin.  The government doesn’t have enough programs and moneys in place to assist those that have worked in Germany all their lives, and now need full time care in a skilled nursing facility.  My grandfather is a great example of this cris...

This city has a beautifully preserved medieval quarter with cobblestone streets and a castle dating back to the 12th century, once surrounded by a moat.

The first place we went to in Saarbrucken is owned by a friend of Mikes. It's kinda  nice place, but the only drawback for me, is that they played only TECHNO the whole darn night... geez..I just can't stand techno, I after a while I wished I was outa there...lol Anyway; we had a good time regardless of the music. Beh...not really at home - better speaking at my parent's place. Leaving Trier after 2 years of mostly not going to university, lots of parties/Couchsurfing meetings, beer and tequila was not so easy.
