SUK11 Reviews
Jan 23, 2007We used to stay at SUK11 most times on arrival in BKK. Now - it has become so popular and full that the prices are creeping up and for about 25$ you can get a clean, air con room with undamaged plain light decor and crisp cotton sheets. The guesthouse for backpackers has it's own character. Articles have been written about it in local and national papers and magazines. The corridors and end rooms have a rustic shack feel with plants and quirky tool adornments to keep you looking for things you haven't seen before as you tread carefully along the wooden plank gangways. It is clean and has a modern, youthy, creative feel to it. It has a couple of computers tucked away for you to use the internet. The reception area has wooden decor and large tables to gather round and meet other English speaking travelers to swap stories or read the papers and random info they have gathered, including a book on volunteer work available to you. The breakfast is help yourself (included in the room price) and water/pop/coffee/tea are all there ready for you to help yourself and put your money in the box(honesty box as with the internet). A good experience and change from the usual hotel or guesthouse. But the prices are increasing so get in quick while they're still OK. SUK11 is an experience not just a night in a guesthouse. |
