I couldn't believe how worthless STA travel in San Diego was for planning our trip, or getting any basic information.  In the end we simply looked up flights to Bangkok on Travelocity and got a really good deal.

STA had no information on visas, no listing of consulates or embassies, and the flight quotes we got from them were the highest of any of the other agencies we talked to.

Actually I think it has changed a lot ... know they are carrying visas info and they can actually help you to get the visa for the country that you are visiting!
