Better than expected!! Jun 12, 2009
I was actually dreading staying here as i'd read quite a few bad reviews but we were greeted with friendly staff, our room wasn't the most upto date but had the best view in the place and seen as we only paid for a "sleep & go" room it was great. It was a 5 min walk from the centre of everything.

Queenstown lake view room at a great price! Jun 18, 2008
I just stayed at the Rydges Queenstown in May and found it to be a great value (US$100). I joined the Rydges membership (free) to get the good deals and ended up choosing the Rydges in Christchurch based on my stay in Queenstown.
The hotel is located right on the lake and is only a 10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. Parking was OK and the staff are helpful. There is a restaurant on site but we chose to eat in town. The room was of average size but was nicely decorated with a mini bar and snacks. The bathroom was small but was very clean with soft towels. Wireless internet is available for a fee. We had a lake view room which was beautiful to wake up to in the morning. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to my friends.
