Good price in central Christchurch Oct 02, 2008 Value: Location: Cleanliness: Amenities: Bed: Bathroom & Shower: Located in a great central location, right around the corner from Cathedral Square in downtown Christchurch, and minutes from the park and Botanical Gardens. Our room looked out over a parking lot but was nice and comfortable and very clean. This is the second Rydges hotel I have stayed in and they all seem to have small bathrooms. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There are plenty of choices to eat besides at the hotel and many are within walking distance, as are the shops. There are some great shops for those gifts to take home We stayed here for our last night in the south before flying back to Auckland. (The airport is about 15 minutes away by car) Next time I am in Christchurch I will be staying at this hotel again. central restaurants shopping
