Ryan's Place Reviews
Good family dining. Oct 16, 2008
Ryan’s Place is a rather small chain here in central California. The owners have done things right and they have a full menu from steaks, chops, fish, and many Portuguese favorites. They also have a wonderful number of fresh-baked pies and during the seasons they offer great fruit pies. I will not suggest it is a family diner, however it truly is. And the families are locals, and can often be heard chatting with one another from one booth to another. We have eaten at three of the different location many times and the food is always good, the portions are just the right size, and the prices are fair. A big thumbs up here!

This is a small chain restaurant. Only a few throughout the San Joaquin valley. But they are quite popular with locals. The entry and waiting area of the three I have been in were small, but comfortable, and filled with old pictures of the local area. It is a family diner with a nice menu selections and even a very full senior menu. The service, although not the quickest is usually satisfactory. They feature pies baked daily in a large refrigerated case near the front door and each month offer a special on a different type. The food is served in good portions, and is moderately priced. The noise level is like most family diners, but not loud. Kids are quite welcome and the chitchat of the locals from one table or booth to the next is not uncommon. This is a good place to take someone visiting from out of town.
