The ultimate no frills airline Nov 22, 2010
Their basic prices are low, but remember you have to pay extra for about everything, even to do a payment. They're even thinking of charging for the onboard toilets... You can get a very good price if you book well in advance, but definitely not always.

Staff in general isn't very friendly, the space in the aircraft is very limited, and I won't even start about advertising on board, the lottery tickets, or the annoying music and jingles. Ryanair is king when it comes to use of airports far away from about everything, even among no frills airlines. For example Duesseldorf Weeze is actually 70km from Duesseldorf, and Stockholm Skavsta is 100km from Stockholm.

Altogether I'm not a big fan, but the aircraft are all young, and they bring me where I want to go for usually a good price.

Sometimes however it's worth looking at premium airlines. Take the Ryanair ticketprice, add all the extra charges and extra money and time for long transfers and you'll sometimes even end up with a better deal not using Ryanair.

Ryanair is, without a doubt, the cheapest low-budget carrier on the market if you know how the get past all of it's add on-costs. The service is dreadful, extras are massively overpriced and the seats are extremely uncomfortable after more than 2 hours: but it is very cheap which is why people keep coming back to it. My best deal so far was £30 return flights to Pisa (Florence) and the £1 returns are, if you don't mind fitting in with the schedule, definatly possible. In short this is ideal for weekend breaks with hand lugagge only within a 2 hour flight span.

Be warned that this is the ulitmate in budget travel but if you go in with all the standard expectations you'd have getting the bus, you'll be satisfied. Just be ready to be viewed as a inconvenience rather than a paying customer. But hey, what do you want for £30?

Very nice. Nov 03, 2010
NRN-KUN (Weeze-DE to Kaunas-LT) @ 26 euro return

NRN-STN (Weeze-DE to Stansted-UK) @ 24 euro return

NRN-KIR (Weeze-DE to Kerry-IE) @ 34 euro return

NRN-LPP (Weeze-DE to Lappeenranta-FI) @ 55 euro return

Yes, what more can I say? They were perfectly on time and we had absolutely no problems dealing with their rules / regulations.

Best (cheapest) is to leave your luggage at home. ;-)

Cheap in every way! May 26, 2009
I flew Ryanair for the first time from France to Dublin. I was unaware of the luggage restrictions. As this was my 4th flight on a 4 week vacation, I was most definitely over the limit! They charged me a ridiculous 180 euros! The seats were small, you have to buy your own water, the employees were rude and the entire experience was less than pleasant. If I do choose to fly Ryanair again, I won't pack much and I'll make sure to drink water before I board the plane!
