Rutherford is a quiet Bergen county town located 8 miles outside of New York City. It is centrally located 12 miles from Newark International Airport, 2 miles from the NJ Turnpike and 4 miles from the Garden State Parkway.
Rutherford is located on New Jersey Transit's Bergen line, and the Secaucus Transfer Station links Rutherford with Amtrak's east coast Boston-Washington line. Residents, commuters and vistors have direct access to mid-town Manhattan. New Jersey Transit buses also run through the town along Union Ave. and Orient Way. The bus line, the 190, takes passengers directly into the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.

We get into Rutherford about 3 PM. After driving on the NJ Turnpike, which was fun for me. I barely kept up with Scott!
Scott went to get our parking passes, and the little ladies in the office were so sweet! They were so excited for our trip and we had to tell them all about what we were going to do. The security guard's son plays for our local minor league team, the Barons, and lives in Hoover! Small world!
So Kristin is in New York, waiting on us. And still no confirmation that we …
