A favourite stop for tour groups, Russky Dvorik is a conveniently-located restaurant just in front of the Lavra and offers rustic Russian food. If you are travelling on your own, you may find yourself among tour groups in the restaurant. So, don't expect atmosphere. When we went there, it was packed with Chinese tourists on a tour group. The food is decent, but the service can be slow, especially during lunch time, when there are so many tourist groups. It gets much quieter after 1:30PM. Compared with most of Moscow's over-priced Russian restaurants, Russky Dvorik is much cheaper (but it must be expensive for Sergiyev Posad) and actually serves better food.
