Summer 2006 I went from Bejing to Irkutsk, taking the K5 Train. Recomendable to everyone: safe, relaxing, awesome nature, friendly stuff, I do not spekak a word of rusian, I was on my own and I enjoyed it a lot .

Who goes to Siberia in the winter? I do.

We stayed in St. Petersburg, Russia for 2 days. Not nearly enough time to see everything. Although we saw the Church of Spilled Blood twice, we never went in. Traveling to Russia in 1994, the scene was pretty grim. Our tourguide summed it up as follows, "There are three things to do in Russia: drink, commit suicide, or leave Russia."
