Rural Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Indian Head Reviews
for the sports enthusiast Aug 27, 2014
If you are a sports enthusiast, this is the place for you! And if you've ever played sports in southern Saskatchewan, especially in Indian Head, or have made the big leagues, you're probably IN one of the Sports Hall's exhibits!
There are three rooms on the main floor and another small area on the ground floor displaying numerous uniforms, jerseys, pictures, articles, programs, tickets, etc on everything from football, curling, baseball, hockey, cheerleading, hunting, to even lesser played sports in Canada, such as cricket.
I was lucky, as I was able to visit without making an appointment. The curator, Ken, mentioned that because he had a summer student this year, the Sports Hall was open in July and August, Monday to Saturday. This is not always the case, so if you're looking to visit, make sure you call Ken first to set up an appointment! He was super friendly and like a talking wikipedia of all things sports-related!
There was no fee to get in, but they do take donations.
