Rupe Ethnographic Museum
Rupe Ethnographic Museum Dubrovnik Reviews
Not bad, though hard to find and underwhelming Nov 20, 2011
Located off the Stradun in Old Town, the Rupe Granary and Ethnographic Museum takes a look at rural life in Croatia.
Not easy to find, as you will have to climb some steep steps, and no visible sign to show which building it is, or where the main entrance is located. You will need a map to look for it, as well as some stamina and patience.
I did find this museum to be a little underwhelming, when compared to other ethnographic museums that I have visited, as the collection seems to be sparse, along with the difficulty of finding the place. But not bad, as it covers the various aspects of life in Croatia, with the displays of costumes, along with farming equipment and the pottery used over the years. It’s worth checking out on a rainy day.
