Rue Ste Catherine E Montreal Reviews
Great way to spend the day in Montreal Dec 10, 2012
Rue Ste Catharine was on our Montreal to-do list and came highly recommended as one of the top things to check out while visiting the city. Lined with all kinds of shops, malls, restaurants, and cafes, Rue Ste Catherine offers something for every visitor. Dotted with some historical churches along the way (just to remind you of the history of the town), we enjoyed Starbucks' lattes and browsed through the standalone Hudson's Bay Company and enormous Birk's stores.
Eaton Centre Mall provided an indoor break for shopping - mostly the same generic stores as everywhere else in Canada, scattered across four floors (though a strange layout with having to move between floors often).
Some higher-end stores lined some of the side streets - Louis Vuitton and Harry Rosen.
Be aware of the store hours if you're visiting on a Sunday. Some stores open at 10 a.m., some at 11 a.m. and some at noon. Check the details of where you want to visit so you're not stuck outside waiting for them to open.
