Beautiful Royal Garden in Prague Mar 13, 2011
Royal Garden in Prague is probably the most famous garden in Prague, the one that sorrounds the Prague Castle.
It was originally designed in XVI century by Francesco to meet italian standards of designing gardens.
Through time it has changed into more baroque style one and after into typical english park.
Nowadays it's a mixture of all of these styles.
For ages the garden used to be closed for the public, even during communism times.
Currently everyone can visit it and enjoy beautiful nature, interesting baroque statues and monumental buildings like a really nice Glasshouse and famous "singing" fountain.
The garden is open to the public from spring to autumn.
In my opinion the best time to see it is during summer, in the morning. The atmosphere is simply perfect then and its a great place to just relax or spend some nice time with beloved person :)
Valdstejnské námestí 3, Prague 1 – Little Quarter - you can get there strictly from the Prague Castle (Hradčany)
