Royal Seasons Hotel Taipei Reviews
Surprisingly luxurious hotel Dec 25, 2009
I stayed in Seasons Royal for the second leg of my Taipei trip. I was a bit skeptical when we pulled up the street to the hotel in the airport taxi from Taoyuan International, it was rather dodgy albeit very busy street.
We checked in late (about 9 PM) after flying down from Seoul. The reception was very friendly and cheerful. What surprised me was that I needed to choose what I wanted for breakfast right then and there! There were a couple of sets to choose from, American, Chinese, Japanese and beef noodle (Taiwanese perhaps?). I was given a coupon with a no-meat instruction written in Mandarin which should be presented upon arrival on the 13th floor dining room.
I learned that this hotel is also quite small with only maybe 5 rooms on each of its 13 floors (1st floor lobby & biz centre, 12th floor meeting room and 13th floor dining room).
Elevator was rather small, I think could just fit 2 adults with an average sized luggage each.
The room however surprised me. It was clean, pleasant smelling, very pretty and the size although wasn't large was still comfortable.
The bathroom was to die for at the price I paid, a jacuzzi, L'Occitane bath amenities, fluffy robes and towels.. As well as a digital scale to remind myself to watch what I stuff down! Oh and there is a glass window separating the bathroom and bed which is also rather sexy..
The breakfast was enjoyable and filling, other extras included free use of wifi and business centre as well as hotel shuttle to Zhongsan MRT station (about 10-15 mins walk) and Taipei Main Station.
Staff was great, courteous and attentive, even managed to send me off with a breakfast box as I had to catch a 6 AM flight back to Jakarta.
I also love the fresh orchids in the room as well as other fresh flower arrangements throughout the hotel!
