This hotel has been around for a long time and is ideally situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya river with the River City shopping centre next door and superb views all around from its upper floor rooms. Staff are welcoming, efficient and courteous. Facilities are excellent and prices are reasonable for this five star standard hotel. It has numerous restaurants - all good but don't miss the nightly culture show whilst enjoying the buffet.
Bangkok has many fine hotels and you may find better but this grand old dame suits us fine as it has matured over the years and gives the traveller everthing you want. One of our favourite hotels! About 45 minutes from the new airport depending on traffic!
