Royal Mulu Resort Miri

The Royal Mulu Resort has the best environment of any hotel I've stayed in. There are many activities to choose from, and the website provides some accurate details. However, I would recommend arranging activities through the park directly, as it's cheaper and effectively the same.

If I were to go again, I would rather camp inside the park or stay in one of the long houses, but was unable to this time as it was fully booked in advance and we don't own a tent.

As there aren't many options for stay in Mulu, the Royal Mulu Resort offers a more luxurious atmosphere, which may be more comfortable for many, especially older folks and those who prefer a bit more respite from the jungle.

Both breakfast and dinner were included with a substantial buffet, and the dinner came along with a show, ("Rami Rami Night"), in which the workers dressed in traditional garb from different regions and performed a dance, as well as called up volunteers to try out the blowpipe and a dance involving stepping between two bamboo sticks clapping together in time, causing lots of humorous blunders.
